More than 70 years of superior quality, product and service lend credence to Aluminum Alloys’ commitment to aluminum sand castings. We do what we do well and always strive to be better than yesterday.
Aluminum Alloys is the largest foundry of its type on the East Coast, assuming the role of a one-stop-shop and providing customers assembly-ready parts. By assuming single-source responsibility, we can relieve customers of multi-vendor tracking and tediously tracking down root cause of any issues, whether quality or service related. Experience and feedback has shown this approach typically saves customers around 7-12% on ‘hidden costs.’
Aluminum Alloys operates as multiple foundries within one, from castings as light as an ounce on cutting edge automatic molding machines through to large, fully manual molding processes performed by skilled craftspeople. Both ‘green’ and ‘no-bake’ sand processes boast reclamation capabilities to ensure we don’t pass unnecessary costs on to customers.
Internal no-bake and shell core production allows for cost-effective core solutions and production, as well as fully internal root cause analysis on core related issues. Four no-bake lines and two shell core lines enables us to fully support molding internally, mitigating lead times, quality issues and cost.
As with internal core production, fully internal standard finishing is, in our opinion, a necessary step to ensuring full process control. Finishing communicating regularly with core production and molding is a key part in our value stream to ensure root cause analysis is quick and effective every time.
Our goal each day, from core box design to machining, is to build on each employee’s knowledge base of the entire casting process so that they understand not just what they do, but why they do it.
Our accessible location in Eastern Pennsylvania provides a close partnership with over a dozen local sources for painting, anodizing, heat treat, machining and non-destructive testing without adding third party freight bills to every step of the process. These partnerships can serve to mitigate lead time while the long-term relationships provide an open line of communication to ensure that any product leaving this facility for any service arrives to our customers up to the standards of Aluminum Alloys.
One nine-acre site may not be able to physically hold every piece of equipment necessary for your casting to arrive assembly-ready, but we certainly take pride in our ability to find effective solutions, taking the onus off of your procurement team and ensuring we are the party responsible, should you need to make an inquiry. Our expertise in all things related to aluminum castings keeps our sources on their toes while making it easy for them to ask questions and do business with us.
